As a graduate of fine arts from Arizona State University and a devoted art teacher, Myra's formal training is reflected in the quality of her art. Several of Myra's paintings have been featured on magazine covers and as collectible posters.
Numerous non-profit organizations have gained tens of thousands of dollars from the sale of Myra's paintings and posters. For several years in a row her wildlife paintings sold for over $10,000, all of which went to Sanibel's wildlife hospital. Through the years Lee Memorial Children's Hospital has gained over $100,000 from the sale of Myra's paintings. Myra has been exhibiting her paintings in galleries and museums in Florida and Chicago for the past twenty-five years. As a permanent resident of Sanibel Island, Florida, Myra is inspired by the native wildlife. Each year she paints an endangered animal series.
Myra is currently working on an on-going series called "Hollywood Icons of the Silver Screen." This includes Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Liz Taylor and many more. Myra's commissions include hundreds of people and pet portraits.
